Do you need clothes or shoes that are breathable and quickly wick away moisture? In that case, choose from adidas products that feature Climacool® technology. Climacool® products from adidas are made from a synthetic technical fabric that is capable of micro-ventilation, which means that the fabric is breathable and wicks away moisture . The fabric controls humidity and temperature and is designed to keep you in maximum comfort, no matter what type of exercise you do.
Climacool® is made from a synthetic fabric, which is usually known as a technical fabric. Technical fabric can be made from a variety of synthetic fabrics, but Climacool® is usually made from nylon or polyester and elastane. The Climacool® fabric has tiny pores for better ventilation.
What are the benefits of Climacool®?
- Functionality = The main function of Climacool® is to keep the body cool, but it does it differently than CLIMALITE® fabric. The fabric is extremely breathable thanks to tiny pores all over the surface of the fabric. Pores allow better air flow and thus increase ventilation. The extra ventilation also helps the fabric dry faster.
- Breathability = Breathability is its specialty, the fabric is designed to have more ventilation than other fabrics.
- Texture = The texture is smooth due to the use of synthetic fibers. It is pleasantly cooling on the skin.
- Odor resistance = The fabric is not primarily designed to prevent odor, its main function is breathability to reduce perspiration. Due to the fact that the fabric is mainly synthetic fibers, its odor resistance is not as great as CLIMALITE® .
- Moisture wicking = Removes moisture thanks to its breathability. Since it is made of only one layer of fabric, it can absorb some sweat, especially where there is a lot of sweat. If it absorbs more sweat than it can evaporate, it can leave the garment sticky.
Maintenance of Climacool® fabric:
- Important to avoid high temperatures (hot water in the washing machine, dryer), which can damage synthetic fabrics and shrink cotton.
- It is important to use detergents intended for sports clothing .
- Avoid bleach and ironing.
