Asics technology
Asics is a Japanese manufacturer of footwear, sporting goods and clothing. The company was founded under the name Onitsuka Co. Ltd. in 1949 by Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka in the city of Kobe. It was not until 1977 that the history of the independent Asics brand began to be written. The name is an acronym for the Latin phrase "Anima sana in corpore sano." - in English translation, "A healthy soul in a healthy body."
Over the years, Asics has become a leader in the sports world, producing innovative products through cutting-edge technology. At the Asics Sports Science Institute in Kobe, a wide range of research and analysis of the human body is carried out using scanning. The institute conducts research not only on products, but also on various service systems, including the operation of clinics where there is 3D Footscan and MY ASICS - Runkeeper, an application that monitors running and other sports activities.
As one of the few manufacturers, Asics differentiates between male and female biomechanics, on the basis of which it tailors its products to the given gender. Running shoes with technological features are especially worth paying attention to. The company is increasingly focusing on sustainability, i.e. on reducing the impact on the environment. For this reason, for example, shoe uppers are made from recycled polyester.
