GORE-TEX® material, which is known for its wind resistance and water resistance. For this purpose, the material consists of a thin layer of Teflon , which is inserted between other materials, most often nylon or polyester . The pores in the material are small enough for a drop of water to pass through, but large enough for steam to pass through.

GORE-TEX® is the brand most known for its material that is windproof and waterproof. But at the same time, it is breathable enough so that the part of the body that is covered by this material can breathe freely.
The GORE-TEX® material consists of a thin layer of Teflon, which is most often inserted into a nylon or polyester layer.
The membrane has pores small enough to be resistant to running water, but pores large enough to allow steam to pass through. These pores are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but at the same time 700 times larger than a vapor molecule, which can easily pass through.
All products where a goretex layer is used must pass demanding testing. Stress tests determine susceptibility to tearing and abrasion, as well as their water resistance, wind resistance and vapor permeability.
Only a manufacturer that meets demanding quality tests can use the GORE-TEX® membrane.
