Currently, the Danish company Select is known, in addition to the production of soccer balls, for the production of top quality futsal and handball balls used in the best European leagues, as well as protectors and bandages .
The Select brand was founded in 1947 by the former goalkeeper of the Danish national football team, Eigil Nielsen. And who knows more about balloons than a goalkeeper. In the 1960s, Select developed the world's first 32-panel soccer cleat, which was then used for several decades. Select was also the first to design and manufacture a boot without upper lacing.
